My love language is food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll be really honest with you here\u2026I have not mastered the art of baking. Slowly, but surely, I hope to learn not just how to bake well, but to really enjoy baking. Especially pies, cakes, and bread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(I know the homestead community is all about sourdough. But right now it\u2019s a big \u201csour-no\u201d for me.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019d rather cook a savory meal than bake any day! My favorite recipe is from the Hersman family cookbook. The Hersmans are Ben’s mothers side of the family and they can cook!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite is Linda\u2019s Chicken recipe. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It makes me drool just thinking about it. I request it for my birthday dinner every year . It\u2019s simple to make and so delicious to eat so I want to share it with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linda\u2019s Chicken:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1-1 1\/2 lbs. chipped ham (shaved deli ham)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8 Chicken breasts bones and skinned<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8 slices of bacon<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 8oz pkg. sour cream<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 can cream of mushroom soup<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Optional: 1 extra cup mushrooms<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Line baking sheet with ham. Wrap chicken breasts with a piece of bacon and place on top of ham. Mix sour cream , cream of mushroom soup and any additional mushrooms. Pour over chicken. Bake at 275 degrees for 3 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
